August 2, 2018 - Similar too previous note, but this is a bit more evolved. Seems more developed, alcohol shows a littlebit but stil very good. Drink now and next 2-3 years. 90p

February 4, 2017 - no proper notes - still dark and quite youthfull considering the age. Aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, cigar box, dark plums, vanilla, american oak. well balanced and solid concentration, quite complex and medium ripe tannins, long finish. outstanding quality, 92p

April 9, 2012 - Very nice right now (and much better than the bottle tasted last year). Great balance between the fruit and the tannins. More of a European profile than Californian. Caresses you rather than smacking you in the face. This is the profile as looking for when I got on the mailing list at this winery.

February 6, 2012 - Decanted 3 hours. Typical Teachworth nose of ripe dark fruit, currant and creosote. Full bodied but quite smooth and elegant in the mouth. Concentrated black cherry and plum fruit with some notes of fig, cedar and spice. The finish is about 30 seconds with manageable tannins. Overall this is a little more feminine and lacks the depth and complexity of previous vintages. Still very good though.

November 15, 2011 - This was a peculiar bottle. When opened, it tasted dilute and not very appealing (dishwater comes to mind). The next day, it had put on body and interesting secondary flavors. Not quite a great wine, but definitely an interesting one. I'll be curious to open another and probably won't wait too long to try.
