July 28, 2015 - Very good but not worth the high price; luckily I paid a lot less for it at the time. Dark for a Burgundy of that age which shows that he goes for ripeness. Indeed the palate is round, smooth, accented on dark cherries and ripe berries, oak-infused and though very enjoyable to drink it is simple and I am not sure that this shows any terroir - it's almost New World is style. Time to drink up - this will only lose power and become limpid if you wait too long.

June 1, 2015 - Pop and pour. This is ultimate joy! There is an immediate coolness and delight to the palate. Compared to the 2012 of the same wine this one shows a bit of age, and perhaps a tad less intensity and power. Lots of fruit, spiced and mintyness here too, but more of the smooth muddy kind instead of the razorsharp all-consuming kind of the 2012. But besides that fact, the wine has aged charmfully, and shows the vintage perfectly. At its prime now. It will last for another 5 years at max, before the fruit will start to decline. But right now this is a fantastic wine. Loving it.
