  November 24, 2013 - Not being a new world fan, I was pleasantly surprised to find most all of the oak integrated on this. It wasn't quite what I expected, not a BIG wine by any means. There were tannins still there, not a whole lot of accent on fruit-definitely no acidity--but the pepper was exactly what I had hoped to find as we paired with a heavily peppered grilled Sirloin. It did not go very well with the dark chocolate we had for dessert at all. Seemed to bring out the green, vegetal notes. It is possible this may be a year or so past prime, but it was by no means broken down. I did not get any alcohol burn as an earlier taster noted.

  March 25, 2012 - I couldn't stand this wine a couple of years ago, and agree with dtodd who said "if you enjoy drinking green peppered flavored cab..." Two years later this has evolved into a very nice wine. I was quite surprised and glad I have this a chance and didn't return my last bottle.
