November 13, 2011 - This is really interesting, there is a distinct floral, ginger, glacial minerality that is cooling and cleansing and some hint of beeswax. On the palate, honeyed fruit but mostly flowers and an apparent bitterness as the alcohol starts to show. Good, but probably better in the past as this decidedly lacks the intensity of younger bottles I've had. With crab cakes over red pepper and curry coulis.

November 24, 2008 - Full bodied, rich Gewuerztraminer. Aromas of Honeysuckle and other flowers, tropical fruits and honey were apparent. I dont think it will improve with time, but it is at its peak right now.
We had this wine with chicken with pineapples gratinated with cheese and risotto. Very good match. -

November 6, 2006 - deep golden color. minerals and grapefruits on the nose along with a predominant nose of roses. full and spicy in the mouth with more minerals that the Alsatian g's I've had. Very long finish dominated by roses. ready to drink. *** nice on day 2 with grapefruitl, spice and minerals.

August 29, 2006 - Consistent with the earlier note, and indeed over one year later the fruit is fading a bit. Still the incredible aromatics, but on the palate it is not as layered as I remember and is showing more acidity and even a hint of alcohol. One left, it will be opened real soon. But still a delightful, almost exotic wine.

May 22, 2005 - Striking gold/amber color; high-pitched floral and tropical fruit notes on the nose, which carry over to the palate. Med-bodied, with more prominent acidity than other vintages of this wine I've tried, this has layers of bright stone fruit, a hint of anise/fennel, mineral notes, and a clean, persistent finish. Drinking well and very enjoyable, but the fruit/acid balance seems a very fine one that could fall apart over time--so no rush to drink the next two bottles, but these aren't bottles to forget about buried in the cellar.
