January 12, 2013 - Delightful. This was the ATP bottling and even though the back label says "best within 5 years" most long time Ridge drinkers know that these wines typically last well beyond these suggested drinking dates. This was no exception.
Particularly well balanced, with mature tannins, a nice earthy, savory edge but also lots of fine sweet aromatics. Very smooth with lots of lift and life, it was just too too easy to drink. Bottle did not last long.
