Community Tasting Notes 13

  • Chip & Susanne Likes this wine: 89 points

May 28, 2015 - Still fairly well-structured. Rich & powerful, with layers of blackberry, crème de cassis & dark plum on nose. Moderate tannins & blueberry flavors lead to a long finish with soft, lingering spice notes.

May 22, 2015 - As with previous bottle earlier this month, should have first decanted. Color has evolved from deep dark ink to brownish tones. Almost sour cherry notes although finish is pleasing & lingers. Once open, wine begins to harmonize. Should drink sooner than later...

May 6, 2015 - Took half hour to fully open. Nice blend of dark fruits with soft tannins. Should drink fine for another year...

May 17, 2012 - Great value Syrah...wife and I cracked this bottle last night and it was a great pair with BBQ chicken and sweet potatoes. Dark Cherries and earth on the nose...smooth wine on the palate with a lingering but satisfying aftertaste. Great VALUE!
