Community Tasting Notes 7

November 1, 2015 - A nice right bank bordeaux. Medium to full body, nice fruit that balances the soft tannins. After one hour the acidity was more noticeable. Surprisingly good given the age and should be drunk now.

October 19, 2013 - diep donkerrood, veel depot, 3 u tevoren gedecanteerd. Overripe plums, some wet wood, super smooth taste with some tannin and dryness, very pleasant but no high flyer

October 10, 2010 - Nice old Bordeaux. Leather, meat, herbs, some fruit hanging on around the edges. Perhaps this is what the Brits refer to as classic claret. Its not going to change anyones life, but it was spot on with with the lamb chops. Probably nearing or already on the downslope, so drink up.

May 20, 2008 - Opaque purple with some cherry cola on the nose. Loads of leather and a hint of tobacco that finishes with some slightly dry tannin reaching through the last bits of acidity. A very good companion to steak on the grill. Still room for some integration here. Try to hold off a year for the next bottle.

January 27, 2007 - Opened another tonight to accompany a great steak on the grill. Deep color and giving much more on the nose than the last tasted in Dec 07. This bottle was showing loads of fruit with a backbone of tannin that faded but never left during the 2-hr after decanting. Seems that this and other 94's I've tried lately (GPL) are coming into their own. How long will it last?
