October 8, 2023 - Sunday Northern Rhône Survey (San Francisco): Light ruby with fading- mature looking. Wow, really stemmy compared to the other 3 vintages. Also some citrus and olive on the nose. Medium body, elegant soil base. Leaner feel, more mineral, flavors divided between black fruit and herbal notes, and a bit of warmth. Shorter finish. It feels less integrated than the 2 younger wines, but much better in the mouth than the rather jarring initial scents suggested. I struggled with this wine.

June 19, 2022 - A private dinner at a friend's (Amsterdam, NL): Explosive nose, flowers and bacon, silky and elegant, buttery Viognier, the gentlest of tannins, wonderful flavours. Chef d’oeuvre.

April 10, 2022 - Nice wine, lots of depth but not a lot of complexity. Hope it comes soon as it’s simple now.

April 20, 2020 - Stupendous. An utterly perfect bottle. Sweet strawberries and cream, black cherries, spicy and meaty depth, roses and violets, hint of vanilla, bursting with finesse and intensity, bright and flowing, floral Viognier aromas, light but firm tannins, amazing resonance and length. Leaves the drinker with a sense of wonder.
