January 17, 2013 - Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2013-01; France around Lyon (by EvA): In the bouquet ripe dark forest fruits, cherries and leather as well as sweet spices. On the palate the same fruits, full bodied, herbs and spices, firm acidity and tannin. Very good wine.

January 17, 2013 - Surprisingly burgundian nose of red fruits, touches of green pepper and savoury notes. A bit of astringency on the palate, but also soft and transparent (in a good way). Good finish.

Very apparent fruit weight, so profound in fact that I continued to drink this massacre for the sensation alone--the palate presence was so complete and round, but sadly the fruit had been squashed flat by some chemical malady. One more bottle remains...
