July 7, 2021 - The wine continues to evolve well and easily has a few good years ahead. Cherry now has paired with the raspberry fruit. Still lots of layers of earth, mushroom, leather and a hint of tobacco. Tannin is totally integrated.

March 2, 2014 - Pitch dark magenta. Almost black. Nose - tart/mint/dust (rock)/cream. Palate - black fruits all the way. Initially some rough grippy tannins which soften ended up with air. Fruit softened a little too. Got a little more tart and fresh. Ultimately a little rustic but quintessentially Italian.

June 20, 2012 - Dark reddish-purple, with some translucence on the edges. Plum and prune, with cherry, medium tannins. Very good with food (pork chops with garlic mushroom sauce).
