August 19, 2023 - Lovely full bodied wine, in its drinking window, consistent with my previous note.

April 22, 2023 - First bottle from a half case purchased at auction. The cork is intact, wine undamaged, whew! Purple to garnet in the glass. Decanted for 1h. On the nose, cherry compote, alcohol, cedar, vanilla, and spices. On the palate, big juicy fruit, sweetness and acidity very well balanced, oak, spices, tannins, and black pepper to in the finish. After 2-3h in a decanter, this integrated into a smooth silky beast. This is a big wine, with good fruit, plenty of complexity, and still well in its drinking window. Tonight paired with grilled chicken in a lemongrass marinade.

July 26, 2020 - Still a deep colour. The nose has some cedar, black olives, truffle and spiced plum. It is deep and full, with good volume and intensity. Tannins are supple and round and there's freshness to the long finish.

Too much alcohol (15,5%!!!). Tight and bold, berries jam, ash and shale, spices. Need to decanting 3 more hour. Not mine wine

January 6, 2017 - New Years tasting 2017; A mixed set tasted fully blind. (@ SS): Just a few notes. Beautiful and expressive bouquet with dark forest fruits and beautiful oak. On the palate the same impressions. Beautiful balance between acidity a slight touch of sweetness, vanilla, round and soft tannin and some chocolate. Already a great pleasure, but a good future of 8+ years as well. 93 - 94
