May 19, 2004 - Tasted at the winery. Bright disc. Medium ruby robe with red rim. Clean nose, showing an explosive bouquet of bing cherries, tea leaves, spice, damp earth and vanilla. Medium-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, light tannins and flavors which mirror the nose. Long, smooth finish. Very impressive. Superior to the Les Galets bottling, which itself was excellent.
