Community Tasting Notes 12

April 25, 2021 - Pours inky black with no sign of bricking. Very muted on the nose, so much so I didn’t really pick up anything of distinction. Unfortunately it was pretty much the same on the palate. It was a very odd wine in that for it’s age it seemed to be in great condition as far as structure and maturity but there was really no sign of any discernible flavor profile. And no...I don’t have COVID. Very odd.

September 19, 2014 - Exceeded expectation after reading other reviews.

April 28, 2013 - Dark purple in color with a violet hue at the edge showing it's age. Enjoyable with a smooth, juicy mouth feel. Nose of ripe blackberries and hints of toffee. Flavors of blackberry and cherry with a somewhat short finish. Notable lack of spice from other vintages and not very complex. While good, not the best from this superb producer.

March 9, 2011 - I'd say this is about at it's peak now. Coffee, dark chocolate, blackberries and plum. Velvety on the palate.

November 5, 2010 - Drank against an 08, the 07 was more fruit forward, with a soft palette finish.
