August 12, 2011 - Wow. Doing very well. Some Burgundy funk on the nose along with black cherry and a hint of tobacco? On the palate, full blown burg. Outstanding stuff.

December 23, 2009 - This bottle had a lot more barnyard on opening than my last. Very funky, earthy scents that blew off over 30 minutes to reveal clean earth, red fruits with good weight and persistence. I really like this wine and it is a fascinating contrast to the 2001 Roumier Chambolle-Musigny - sort of earth vs aristocracy, both lovely and a' point.

February 10, 2009 - A little dense and muted initially, but with air it opened up nicely with spice, cherry, dark fruits and earth. This was very nice with duck. I like the '01 vintage and this is very much in keeping with the style.
