March 8, 2019 - Lifted aromatics of wild strawberry and some strong savoury notes. The palate is well defined with good acidity and a nice tannic kick. This has a grace and confidence that speaks entirely of its place and represents the very best of burgundy at this level. Unquestionably a wine which is somehow greater than the sum of its parts.

January 30, 2019 - Very elegant nose, warm and round like a hug. Black cherry and pastry cream in front but you having also some liquorice, tobacco and truffle.
Round body with high acidity and warm alcohol. Very fine, thin tannins. Black cherry, kirsch, liquorice and vanilla. Nice Burgundy.

September 15, 2014 - A somewhat developed nose with fairly ripe strawberries and raspberries, some humus, orange zest and mineral, hints of vanilla and flowery notes, and just the faintest touch of green notes and dried red berries. Medium minus body and a palate with strawberries, some cherries and cranberries, fine acidity, noticeable minerality, light tannins, and a long and pure aftertaste with red berries and mineral. A beautiful and elegant wine that is quite complex for a Bourgogne Rouge (even if it is an "almost Chambolle-Musigny"), and a truly great effort for the vintage! 89 p.

July 9, 2013 - Best bottle of this, classic perfumed pinot in a Chambolle style. Good weight and depth of fruit for a Bourgogne and an 07. Youthful but very approacable. Producer class shines through.

January 13, 2013 - Cherry, earth, cranberry. Quite fragrent, thin but good intensity of flavour. Youthful but open. In other words a good Bourgogne.
