January 31, 2024 - This one took forever to open up. Once it did, it displayed glorious fruit supported by spicy tannins. It was hard to believe it was a 19 year old wine because of the freshness and quality.

March 26, 2017 - Served last night to guests with pasta and Bolognese sauce. It has been two years since I had a bottle of this majestic Barolo (see my 3/5/15 note). It has not changed appreciably in this time. It is a young and fresh wine that is both structured and approachable. There is no reason not to enjoy it now. And it will still be amazing in a decade or two.

February 14, 2017 - Wonderful wine with beautiful cherry flavors in every evolving sip. Decanted and found a few solids. Let rest for an hour and drank over the next five hours. Cherries on the nose along with a bit of spice and earthy notes.

October 23, 2016 - decanted for 3hrs before i tried it and it was still reserved and quite tannic. nose was more approachable with some cherry notes with a hint of strawberry. had my last glass after 7hrs of decanting and it was much better than the first glass. still didnt love it
