March 2, 2022 - As Marge would say, drink 'em if you got 'em. This one is not going to get any better... tannins WAY out of balance with the fruit. And with so few fruit notes remaining, the tannins dominate in a very unsavory way.

October 17, 2021 - Had this with a splurge meal of fresh Alba truffle and home made egg pasta. Upon opening the wine was extremely tight and shut down. Double decanted and held for 24 hours, at which time the wine was far more approachable. Wine has been stored in cellar conditions, throwing moderate sediment and showing burnished amber at the edge of the glass. On the nose and the palate, definitely more tar and dark fruit, not much floral character. I don't know if it's got enough stuffing to benefit from further aging. Enjoyable but not memorable.

October 11, 2019 - Double decanted before lunch, drank with dinner 6hours later. Corked after the double decant.

Needed more air ultimately, was really starting to show on the final glasses.

February 16, 2019 - Wow, really subtle and elegant, went great with strip steak and wild mushroom risotto.

Drinking as well as it ever will.

June 29, 2018 - Popped and poured. Good earthy wine. Fabulous with our ragout. May now be at its best so drink now. WOTN.
