November 21, 2015 - HWS Game dinner 2015: Beautiful wine and in the middle of its maturity stage. Beautifully ripe dark forest fruits, some minerals and leather, some smoke, juicy acidity and soft and round tannin with still a pleasant bite. Ready now and the next 2 – 3+ years.

May 31, 2010 - Very dark in appearance, with a nose of ripe dark berries with a slight animal presence. Very primary, plummy and a bit "hot". The medium body and up front fruit still hide any Rhone character and only with some aeration a more peppery side starts to come out. Unfortunately the mid-palate is on the hollow side (sign of young age?) A good set of dried tannins prolonged the wine into a medium well crafted finish. Can`t say it`s a bad wine but not what i want in a St. Joseph and definitely very young. In the end i found it a bit too "premeditated" and soulless. Maybe time will grant some Rhone into it....it has the structure to endure the wait

April 11, 2010 - Another example of 2007 drinking quite well right now.It shows good concentration, fresh acidity, and nice round tannins. Just a bit monolithic to be honest.

May 16, 2009 - Northern Rhone Visit, May 2009; 5/14/2009-5/17/2009 (Condrieu, Ampuis, Cornas, Tain -- France): Tasted at the Domaine -- Peppery and sleek, with some good tarry fruit. Didn't blow me away but solid.
