June 13, 2022 - Well balanced, focused and concentrated. Solid structure.

July 6, 2018 - After a 3 hour decant, began to open up, Still big structure, but nicely integrated tannin and great dark fruit character, cracked pepper on the nose. Better on day two. Will easily go another 5 years. Pretty delicious.
The wine looks inky colored. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, garrigue, black pepper and tar. It tastes like mineral, black pepper and garrigue. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

June 27, 2015 - Unusual pairing with chicken marsala, but the mushrooms played well with the wine, which is drinking beautifully.

March 28, 2013 - Decanted, but it still didn't seem to open up as much as I recall the previous bottle doing. Still a decent, well-balanced Syrah, with dark pepper and gamey notes and moderate acidity.
