April 14, 2013 - Surprisingly balanced and nice acidity for a pax. Tasted next to a 2003 Lauterbach Hill and worlds apart. Bottle age has made this taste almost old world. Wish I had more.

August 11, 2012 - Similar to last bottle, still very fruity and forward

January 13, 2011 - What I have come to expect from Pax, lots of fruit but little complexity. Nice wine, crowd pleaser style

November 14, 2009 - Fight Night Wines V (matt's, highland park IL): nose: real good and rich nose of blackberries, bits of black fruits, compotes, black cherries and bits of spice tones

taste: well balanced, but definitely full bodied and forward with plush tones of blackberries, black cherries, spice tones and bits of currants

overall: drinking great right now. In its prime, this doesn't seem like its going to add more depth and the tones are more toned down then really developing secondary tones

September 11, 2009 - Deep purple color. Aromas of blackberries, pepper and violets. Sweet, ripe fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and good complexity. This wine has lost its youthful power and replaced it with surprising elegance, complexity and sauveness.
