Community Tasting Notes 7

    May 5, 2015 - No change. Disappointing.

May 29, 2012 - Light garnet colour. Nose initially closed but later offered up slight high toned small red fruits. On palate to much acidity and puckering tannins and not enough ripe fruit. Lean and mean.

May 19, 2011 - Opened the bottle yesterday afternoon around 4 PM. Let it sit for a while, then poured through an aerator. Finish much more integrated than the previous bottle, still with the sour cherry/cranberry taste. Not much on the nose, and while the finish was long and less puckering than before, I've got much better examples of Burgundy for the same or less than we paid for this one.

May 18, 2011 - Straightforward nose of red raspberry and a bit of dried topsoil. The palate is very light, with a hint of crabapple and sour cherry. What I find interesting is the finish- it literally is so sour it makes me pucker. I'll update the note if air helps.

Update, day 2: Much of the puckering acidity on the finish has blown off, but wasn't replaced by anything substantial. Cranberry/sour cherry aromas/flavors with a sour finish. maybe up to an 85, but there's far better out there for the price.
