July 16, 2020 - Probably getting long in the tooth. Bricking on edges and slightly thick on palate. Still a very nice flavor of black fruit and slate on the palate and rose petals in the finish. High alcohol content and still sharper than expected at this age but totally enjoyable.

July 9, 2011 - Wow - just outstanding. This as aged beautifully! Deep dark garnet in the glass. Nose of cassis and blackberry bursting out wrapped in some smoke and lavendar notes. The rich fresh vibrant fruit was forward and ripe with blue, black and red fruit notes - the wonderful black pepper notes and some smoked meat notes wrapped in silky tannins. And a wonderfully long finish!
