December 9, 2023 - Saturday late night at Maison Dakota. My bottle. Drank in Conterno Sensory.
Appearance is clear, very pale intensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of tertiary earth, stony minerality, dried red cherries, some hawthorn. Some toast and meat bits with more air. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), low tannins, medium- body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dried red cherries, dried red plums, stony minerality, tertiary earth. Savoury medium+ finish.
Very good quality for a Village. Approaching end of life. Enjoy and catch it before the fruit totally dries out.

February 21, 2021 - Med. dark ruby with slight amber fade; cherry liqueur on the nose with baking and exotic spices, animale/fur, as well as foresty notes, sauteed mushrooms, soft leather, ferns and wet earth and the like; Med body, fairly tart mid-palate, lower tannins, showing the vintage character on the palate (and maybe the level). Shows some slight peppery notes and earth tones with red cherry and raspberry tang in the finish. Nice village drinker for sure and just coming on line. Drinking really well for a village '07, should go another 10 years no problem.

Looking at notes from 2019--no hard mineral aspect on this and just right tartness--in fact it has a nice warmth about it. Showing much better than that bottle.

December 19, 2019 - Nice wine, bad vintage, but still nice foresty, perfumey notes, a little hard and mineral, medium body, earthy and tart. With lentil soup at Kri Kri.

December 23, 2018 - Silky and seamless, light to medium body, cool and minerally, crushed red berries, forest floor, smoky stalks, just a hint of juicy sweetness, leaves the mouth dry and perfumed. A perfect bottle, at peak.
