December 4, 2022 - 8/8, very good cork.
Deep garnet core, narrow pale garnet rim. Still quite youthful - shows blackberry fruit, touch of black pepper and tar. Medium/full bodied, blackberries again, black pepper, touch of ematiness, soft tannins, attractive fresh acids, good length harmonious finish. Perhaps a bit of choclate now and then too. Fully mature but holding up well - to at least 2026. -

May 23, 2022 - Eðalklúbburinn rúllar um Rónardalinn.; 5/23/2022-5/27/2022 (10 vínhús og ein súkkulaðigerð heimsótt í norður og suður Rónardalnum.): Seinna vínið af þeim gömlu sem Pierre bauð upp á var þetta. Úr áður opnaðri flösku. Ilmur var frekar lokaður. Mjög mjúkt. Virtist vera komið lengra á þroskabraut en 2006 vínið. Þarna voru sveskjutónar sem voru ekki í fyrra víninu. Ágætt en ekki eins spennandi og 2006.

March 6, 2022 - Unmistakable north Rhône Syrah. Reminds me more of cotes rotie. Powerful scent of barnyard, this is not for everyone. Can go for 5 + years

September 13, 2021 - Encore en très grande forme, porté par sa matière et son acidité, en phase tertiaire mais avec des relents de fruits bien nets encore. Homogène en bouche avec une belle allonge.

September 4, 2019 - 7/8, excellent cork. Decanted 1/2 hr.
Deep garnet core, pale garnet rim. Nose shows some development with peppery black fruits, touch of mulch and meat. Medium/full on the palate, resolved tannins, dark fruit, leather, quite mellow, fresh acidity, perhaps falling away a touch on the medium length finish. Decent, probably one to drink sooner rather than later.
