March 23, 2024 - First bottle consummed in 2014 and I did not like it at all. Ten years later opening up my second bottle, I find it considerably better. Rust tinged color. Dark cherry currant fruit, moderate finish. Nothing exciting here. Definitely not worth the price.

December 21, 2021 - Popped and poured. Full bodied, expansive, but poise and precision. Black cherry, tar, smoke and spice. This is still quite youthful and will continue to age for quite a while.

This wine is lovely, showing off bright red fruits alongside menthol, black licorice, pepper, and garrigue.
The finish is long and interesting, with nicely supporting acidity to give an interesting and gorgeous mouthfeel.
Drink now through 2024+. -

November 7, 2020 - Decanted 3 hours. Dark cherry juice, spice, leather, iodine, and a hint of fresh thyme. Beautifully balanced, nice depth but not overly powerful. Medium finish, 20+ seconds, with a warmth and spicy sweetness reminiscent of bourbon mellowed out by a melted ice cube.
