June 1, 2019 - Brought this to SaLe Marino for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day.

Rich red ripe fruits on the nose and palate with a beautiful purple hue and inky whiff. The plums were very pronounced in this wine, with notes of figs, licorice and blackberries featured very prominently in the body.

Giving this wine the same score as the 2004 kilikanoon Shiraz Covenant, though the 04 Covenant is a slight notch better. Still, this was a great wine when paired with the aged dry beef which we had.

January 11, 2018 - I'm thinking this might have been better a couple years ago, but then again, even with a screwcap I don't think this has moved all that much. Nose of ripe Shiraz leads into a palate of ripe but muted mulberry/blueberry fruit that isn't all that fat. Higher acid (Clare Valley) than some Aussie Shiraz w/15% alcohol this may hold for a while but not get any better. Good with food.

January 11, 2017 - Silky, smooth, heavy and very thick body. Clear but not unbearable oak. Good acidity as a Oz Shiraz. Can't see it will further improve.

September 18, 2016 - Quite awkward and not very good at first. 90 minutes in it began exhibiting some very tasty savory notes -- whilst remaining a tad too hot on the finish -- but unfortunately by that point, at the end of the meal (leg of lamb, which made for a pretty good pairing), the wine was mostly gone... 15% ABV.

December 29, 2015 - Un-decantered, with lamb. Not much on the bouquet. Great balance on the palate. I was hoping she'd be ready to drink, but she's a little bit tight still. Which is great as I still have another bottle. I'd leave it for two to three years. There is not much tanin left, but enough to see it through for the next three years.
