March 20, 2010 - Cellared @ room temperature i.e. 72F. Decanted and chilled for 1/2 hr prior to walking to River Oyster Bar. Initially tart cherry flavor, improved markedly with another 1/2 hr of air. My 91-92. Ellen's 89(i.e. it was drinkable but she wouldn't buy again).

January 18, 2010 - Popped and poured. Improved w Vinturi aerator. Still good fruit. We both enjoyed it. Drank 3/5th with dinner.

January 11, 2008 - Took a while to open up, but was nice when it did. Still juicy berries and cherries. Paired beautifully with a butternut squash/pine nut risotto. Also went well with a roasted pork belly. Drank with a meal at Tilth in Seattle.

October 21, 2006 - DAWGS Blind Pinot Noir Tasting (TexasZin's home in Garland, TX): WIML89,NOWA,WS88

Tasted October 21, 2006 at a blind tasting. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Balloon Magnum glass. Rose color in the glass, little dusty looking. Nose of potpourri, red fruits and a touch of bacon (could be from last wine). Flavors of red berries and red cherries. Medium acidity, silky tannins, medium body. Drink now. New world, not sure what it is though.

May 15, 2006 - Very interesting counter to the 97 Etude we opened also tonight. This was much more the crowd pleaser. Open, juicy round fruit. Ripe cherries and Rasberry Jam, a nice licorice component and a soft pleasing (slightly woody) finish. I grade 'em out (irregardless of style) about the same... but I enjoyed the Etude more and found it quite a bit more complex and intellectual.
