  Very well balanced wine, medium to full-bodied, well defined tannins but not dominant.
  Overall: very good wine, but could be a little bit more outspoken.

  April 12, 2014 - This was excellent - terrific fruit masking the tannins. Still with plenty of life. Perfect illustration of how good this vintage is across the board.

  October 29, 2011 - A disappointing wine. Flavours of dark berry are there, but one gets an overwhelming sense of new oak when tasting this wine. Oak masks the fruit and dominates the finish. Alcohol is high (14.5%). Down the sink.

  March 8, 2009 - No formal note taken. Red and black fruits with heavy oak treatment. Has decent structure and should age well for a few years. Hold. Good.

  October 28, 2008 - Clear with a very dark core of moderate intensity out almost to the edge of the wine (mulberry edge) and thin watery rim. Clean nose of new oak, plum, and bit of alcohol of moderate intensitiy. Dry with moderate body and acid and moderate+ acid and tannin (firm but ripe). Blackberry and black current on the palate (moderate intensity). The finish is moderate in length with the fruit and oak continuing. Very, very good and a keeper. Will develop well for up to 10 years and hold for 15 or more under good conditions.
