Community Tasting Notes 4

March 1, 2015 - Cork crumbled on extraction and was nearly saturated. Possibly a flawed bottle; no rating given. Dark red, fairly "hot" at 14.5% abv. Hoping my remaining bottle is better. Setting this aside to revisit tomorrow.

January 26, 2011 - Amber colored wine, fast legs. Some blackberry, some toast, oak, black pepper and a little fur. A medium to full body, short finish and excessively alcoholic.

Not a complex wine but acceptable. The price is NOT OK for what it offers. I liked it but I'm not going to buy it again.

June 30, 2010 - Undecanted from a preservation machine. Intense creamy nose with fruit and hints of tobacco and earth. In the mouth rich layered ripe and chewy sour fruit (cassis, blackberry, and dark cherry) with hint of earth. Lively acid on the attack, fuzzy tannins on the tongue. Finish of sour fruit that fades to dirt and nut and lingers with some pleasant bitterness. Body medium plus, acid medium plus, tannins medium plus. Dry. Quite tasty, ok price as tested, about USD30.

October 20, 2009 - Not quite excellent, but very good. Full bodied, rich wine.
