Community Tasting Notes 1

May 1, 2016 - Awesome nose of leathery red cherry and currant fruit, fully developed but still has juice left, minty and some menthol notes too. Tingling texture on palate with plenty of ripe fruit in addition to more tertiary soil notes. Very leathery and meaty and the California fruit is entirely mature and drinking deliciously. One of those rare wines that is good because it is distinctly old Californian, something unique as opposed to pseudo-early-90s-bordeaux. Unique and special.
