January 30, 2024 - Excellent Syrah. Meaty, leathery, peppery, smokey with candy toned black raspberry. Could go a few more years with the tannic structure and acidity still present.
Decanted a 750 in a magnum decanter and the wine continued to open for at least an hour.

October 7, 2022 - Our last bottle from our own cellar was almost 2.5 years ago. I was lucky enough to find a couple on Winebid for a reasonable price of $40.

I think this wine is really hitting its stride. Smoked meats, leather, pepper and raspberry jam. Concentrated flavors, but not overblown. Alcohol in check. A phenomenal wine. Drink.

September 27, 2020 - Still ruby-red with slightly tinged rim. Needed time to open up. Powerful nose with loads of ripe blueberries, spicy notes and hint of chocolate and dry dust. Smooth tannins and full, rounded palate with loads of jammy blue berries, spices and leather. Long finish featured burnt tar and sun-baked river stones. Pairing with BBQ pork ribs brought out the spiciness. Sadly this was my last bottle.

April 19, 2020 - Loads of complexity with tar, black raspberry, smoke and enough leather to make a horse saddle. Seems like it will go years from here. Excellent.
Needs about an hour to open.

December 4, 2019 - Took until the 2nd day to open up and become reasonably balanced. Ultimately a very nice modern syrah with ample fruit and nice depth. Fairly long, lively finish. Aging well.
