October 29, 2022 - Decanted 1 hr. Lovely and expressive nose of red fruits and herbs, later developing more floral character. This didn't follow through in the mouth, it was very muted and short. Medium body, medium+ acidity, integrated tannins, short finish. An underwhelming and disappointing grand cru :-(

November 26, 2021 - this was Ok, which makes it a disappointment (for an RSV and @ $300'ish for current pricing)... felt almost totally shut down, hint of fruit, decent structure / acidity for sure, flavors were nearly absent... could it be that a great 2007 red burg has actually shut down... this vintage is one of the only that have consistently drunk well in the year 5-15 since the vintage year... I am hoping its shut, otherwise (unless this btl was an anomaly) my last btl and all the others out there are destined to disappoint (sorry to be Debbie downer but super bummed at the performance here)

October 17, 2021 - 3 bottles of saint vivant compared horizontally (with 2011 Dujac, 2014 JJ Confuron), Hudelot-Noellat Romanée St. Vivant displayed the most red fruit nose. Acidity is balanced and seems to be drinking at its peak. Finish is not outstanding but pleasant enough to justify this Grand Cru.

Rien n’accroche! Superbe bouteille.

September 28, 2019 - Absolut stunning. Very complex nose with dark berries, cedar, herbal notes and tobacco. More light on the palate but still very complex and a great finesse. Long, almost everlasting finish. Great wine. 94-96P. Food paring at this event: Sliced Cote de beuf with mushroom sauce.
