    August 31, 2015 - Very youthful for its age, this wine has aged well. Still lots of brambly dark fruit on the palate with some forest floor notes peaking through. Not the most subtle of pinots but everything is in balance and the wine is quite delicious.

    October 29, 2014 - Tasted blind, would have guessed 2009 Cru Beaujolais. Seriously. Fresh fruit, vibrant colors, the works. Fruit clearly more ripe than the 1999 or 2000 of this wine (not a value judgment, mind you...). Gains dimension with air in the glass. Wish we had another. Brilliant.

    March 20, 2010 - Popped and poured through aerator; at first, I was worried as there was not much fruit or body on the first go-around, but like a young Brick House Pinot, this just took some time to open up. Relatively dark red; on the mouth, it presents dark red fruits and dried cherries; medium-bodied wine with a little bit of tannin; shorter finish, but certainly fine for a pinot of this vintage

    May 15, 2009 - The nose is quite light and dominated by spicy notes like nutmeg or gingerbread. Great dark cherries combine with gentle tannins and a hint of prunes to make this a delicious tasting wine. The only drawback is that the finish is a bit short, but the flavors are great!

    May 15, 2009 - Old Oregon Pinot Noir RUMBLEMATCH (Dan's house): A nose of ashen wet firewood and sour, under-ripe cherries. The palate presents cherry but turns dried & extracted feeling in the finish, almost raisin or prune-like. There is also a big dose of ripe plums in the mid-palate. Absolutely unlike any other Oregon Pinot I have had, the finish leaves you with lingering flavors like you just ate a freshly dried prune. Nicely balanced acids and subtle, nearly resolved tannins. A thought-provoking wine for me, and my favorite of the night. Rated #1 of 8 bottles in group voting.
