Community Tasting Notes 60

April 5, 2024 - Decanted 3 hours ahead. Black and blue fruit along with a beautiful touch of minerality on the nose. Medium bodied with beautiful acidity and good tannins for structure. Raspberry and black fruits along with limestone and secondary notes of tobacco and spice. Classic style. First of 6 purchased as futures and stored at 55 degrees. In a good place, I'll drink mine over the next 7-10 years. 93 points

March 1, 2024 - From memory: Requires some air before unfolding, appears a bit jammy, perhaps slightly over the top; nice drinking after a while, but not a blockbuster

May 14, 2022 - Good intensity on the entry, with delicious and slightly spicy plums and blackberries, before the mid palate adds some tertiary elements of forest floor, tobacco, ink and slate. Perhaps very slightly leaner than I would have liked on the mid palate as far as fruit goes, which makes it tend slightly towards tertiary/mineral side, but it’s still a delicious wine, and puts on a bit more weight again into the medium length finish with blackberries, plums tobacco, slate and delicate spices lingering. Clearly a quality wine, with perhaps the vintage showing through in the slightly more savoury/mineral/tertiary mid palate. Ready to drink with at least two hours decant.

March 5, 2022 - Needed air even after a 2h decant. Early in its drinking window. Full bodied and quite classic.
