April 22, 2005 - This is just too serious of a wine for $12, it is almost not ready to drink. The '01 is a completely different wine than the '00 we drank last year as house white. This wine is made for aging as Andrew said. With food it rounds out and complemented the pork loin with jezebel sauce and corn casserole with green chiles. Lots of personality in the bottle- good clean fruit, mineral and acid balance and a pleasing finish.
