October 17, 2023 - Strong, raw, gritty, powerful, impressive. The red fruit is almost stewed yet lively. Great to accompany heart meat.

September 23, 2023 - Decanted for four hours prior to consumption.
Beautiful ruby/magenta color; leather and roast meat nose.
Lots of acidity and plenty of savory notes, all atop a foundation of black cherry fruit. Not quite as concentrated as I might have wished, but overall it is quite good. “Tuscan dust” is present and there are plenty of tannins underneath, leading to a long finish. Still, one would expect a bit more from this cuvée in such a findvintage year. Lot 1709
