September 18, 2020 - Had with Parmesan- crusted chicken breasts. Purple color has started to fade. Recently had my last 07 Winderlea Ana and thought the Estate Reserve had more to it across the board. Still has good cherry notes, a touch of earthiness, spiciness. Very smooth, fades through the middle, but recovers with an extended finish. A very good wine from a tough vintage for Oregon that has held up much better than I would have anticipated.

January 22, 2018 - Red fruits. Good acid. Lacks mid palate richness and length.

August 10, 2012 - Concur with some previous notes. This bottle didn't quite meet my expectations. The wine had good acidity and red fruits, but didn't quite develop with bottle time the way we'd hoped. A strong smell of alcohol that never quite dissipated. Ultimate still prefer this style to some flabby '06s that we've had, but feel the wine has traded depth for acid too much.

June 28, 2012 - Initially had a fizzy quality that disappeared as the wine warmed up. It was popped and poured at 55 degrees. Fruit still very evident, and quite good considering the bad reputation of the vintage, which in my opinion based on the 2007 I have tried, is undeserved.

October 31, 2011 - Very nice light and refreshing with some bracing acidity. The nose has earth & tart cherry with the cherry coming into the palate.
