May 25, 2013 - Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. Very forward aromas, actually quite advanced. Not distinctly Barolo to anybody today, this mostly showed mature, ultra ripe fruit with just modest nuance. Best to drink up, given both the character of the vintage and modern style.

January 27, 2007 - Peter Pratt's Luguresque Offline - Italian Table (Peter Pratt's Inn - Yorktown Heights): Tight and tannic, with some leather notes. Very difficult to judge at this point.

December 27, 2006 - deep ruby color with no signs of bricking yet - initially a little demur aromatically, the wine opened up in the glass with notes of sappy red berries, smoke, tar and minerals. It is all bound together with an inner strength that is never forceful on the palate, yet textured finely with plush tannins. Not flabby or falling apart, this wine will give pleasure for many years to come.
