  June 5, 2011 - Looked promissing, but didnot deliver. Feels unbalance and although it has some good elements they are not together at the moment. Not sure it will ever be a good wine. I think the fatc that we passed on it after the first glass tells it all..

  April 29, 2009 - La Spinetta tasting (Bacchus, Waterboathouse): Makes a good pair with the 2006 Sauv Blanc - both are characterless, mediocre and overmanipulated wines. Lots of sweet, sticky fruit on the nose - almost banana like with a hint of slightly fermenting pandan leaves with whiffs of glycerin wafting around. Again, new French oak, and again, too heavy-handed. The palate was all smoke and wood spice. Acidiity was okay, but the oakiness, coupled with the fact that there was as much noticeable alchohol on the palate as there was on the nose, the sweet white fruit was all but overwhelmed by the disjointedness of the wine. Finish was, as expected, hot and oaky.

  April 29, 2009 - La Spinetta Tasting (Bacchus Boarthouse): Steamed banana kueh wrapped in the pandan leaf. Vanila beans, diluted lightish fruits.
