October 26, 2020 - A little sweeter than I remembered but still a very nice wine. Bought two cases myself and slowly working through them. On the palate, I got notes of honey and apricot. I may have another at Thanksgiving.

January 2, 2018 - Heavier than most Sauternes, showing underlying sweet umami elements. Not particularly complex and acid could be a little higher. A fine tribute wine nonetheless.

July 30, 2016 - Bouquet and taste profile reminiscent of cane juice being boiled down in an open caldron, with charred sugar notes, caramel, and smoke showing prominently. The alcohol is noticeable, imparting the impression of a fortified wine. Appealing, but the back and finish drop off fairly quickly. 89-90.

August 20, 2015 - Almost a Sauternes, but not quite. Very good, though, with all the right aspects, just not the finness.

March 1, 2015 - One of two dessert wines opened after stone crab dinner with Chris and Sal. Went great with the lovely fresh fruit tarts they brought back from Key West. Consistent with my previous bottles and notes
