March 17, 2024 - Finally got to drink this and thought it was very pretty. Interesting contrast to the La las in that it was less extracted, with more balanced fruit and none of the peculiar (though delicious) bacon fat quality found in the Guigal wines. This was pure, sweet Syrah and a treat to drink

August 6, 2022 - Dark blood red, shows a little development.
Crushed herbs, salty, dark spice, fine oak spice, plums and cassis.
Dark fruits, good intensity, licorice and tar spice, sweet leather, creamy tannins, fine acidity. Ripe dark fruits, a little more than usual, pushes the secondary flavours a little back. Delicious drinking.

July 10, 2022 - Rhône Tasting-cum-Lunch (Restaurant Rijsel, Amsterdam, NL): Quite a success for this vintage, deep and warm but vibrant and fresh, with firm but ripe tannins, powerful and concentrated but without excess or errors, relatively little terroir expression as the vintage dominates, has matured very well.

September 28, 2021 - This was a tasting with Northern and Southern Rhone wines. 6 bottles and I had ranked it 2, beaten by Hermitage Le Chapelle, of course.
If you still have this bottle. Keep. Still rich in fruits, very rich, good structure in tannins to keep the fruits together. Just luscious.

January 29, 2021 - Also much better than the previous bottle. Drank alongside the Torbreck Factor 2003. Completely different. This has a meaty, sauvage character with a mineral undertone. Secondary notes of leather. Evolving in glass and going strong. Can easily last another 5 years.
