Community Tasting Notes 11

December 2, 2018 - Inky dark purple, bordering on opaque. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, licorice, and violets carry over to the palate. Finishes with notes of berry compote, and softening tannins.

February 4, 2017 - Might be a little past its prime. Difficult to tell, as I have no prior notes to reference. My impression is that while fruit depth remains adequate, there's more acidity than I care for in terms of overall balance. A dill note on the mid palate. Finishes with some remaining tannins and a slight hint of bitterness. Not off-putting, perfectly drinkable. But not great.

October 2, 2016 - Cherries, plums and currants just slide out of the glass. Finishes long but gets a little acidic.

August 12, 2014 - same thoughts as last bottle

June 25, 2013 - Thought it was just ok. Good flavor profile but needed more acidity.
