March 31, 2020 - JJKinch nailed the note. Only thing I'd add is that it's on the decline and losing fruit, and I love aged wine. Drink ASAP.

February 22, 2005 - Chateau Montelena "Past, Present, and Future" (Metropolitan Club, Minneapolis): Deep brick red with moderate amber. Definitely a mature wine. Cassis, tobacco, leather, and black raspberries. Light to medium bodied, with a long, slightly lemony/acidic finish. Fully resolved tannins. Interesting!
