March 2, 2024 - Dark reddish-purple in color with minor bricking & clearing at the edges. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, plummy & raisins with overtones of smoky oak, earthy/dusty, gamey (brett?) & jammy notes, herbs, leather & tar notes. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of smooth textured & well balanced, very ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, plums & raisins with herbs, minerals & a quite a bit of smoky oak. Lingering finish. The smoky oak notes overwhelmed what little fruit was left. Considering the notes of others here, I suspect it was an off bottle. Another indicator was the cork crumbled upon opening.

November 6, 2023 - Double decant, filtered and drank over two days. Glasses 2-4 were better than the first. Low acidity, soft tannins, black currant, plum. Nowhere as tasty or complex as the 01 is today. Still it was very good but it seems to have entered elderhood like me; the 02 is less vibrant.

July 24, 2020 - Coravin bottle killed - more muted nose, might just be a cold. Consistent notes of chocolate, earth, leather and dusty cherry. Opened up after some oxygen. At peak for me, mild chalky tannins

July 3, 2020 - Baking spices, wet stones, iron and minerals. Fully mature but not old, subtle leather and dried cherries.
