February 17, 2024 - Company dinner at Novotel. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ almost pronounced intensity, with aromas of fragrant deep red plums, dark red licorice, blackberries, black cherries, integrated toast oak polished veneer. Developed.
On the palate, dry, nice high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), very smooth silky high tannins, plush full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet blackberries, black cherries, deep red plums, well integrated toast oak, dark licorice. Long finish.
Very very good quality. Dare I say quite a well balanced plush Merlot. In a good place already and should hold well for a quite a few more years. Good respite from all the elegant wines I have been drinking haha. -
