March 3, 2022 - I *think* I like this, there's a hit of marl-y limestone / curing concrete that's either fascinating or gross depending on what you're eating. Pickled lemons? Oloroso? Dried mushrooms? I definitely reminded of digging clay in a creekbed, along with the attendant anaerobic decomposition of plant matter in the water. Either way, I looked into buying more but it appears it has become somewhat of a culty producer and is no longer a $30 bottle of wine.

August 8, 2016 - Dense and packed. Very complex, alive and very long. Yeasty, 'sherried,' layered, with floral, mineral, and dried citrus character. Lemon zest. Stunning wine.

May 28, 2015 - Medium grayish 14k gold. Serious waxy flor-y nose. Savory palate with a little brine and lots of white stone fruit acid. The finish is long and intensely vinous, plenty more Sherry hints, and an exceptional yin/yang of freshness and ripeness. Enjoyed with oven-fried cod. Outstanding. No sign of particular aging.

September 25, 2011 - The cork on this was branded Cuvee Prestige, although the label did not say as much. I have had this open for a few days now (corked up in the fridge) and it is not the sort of wine you can drink a lot of in a sitting, but it has a real presence, is nutty (chestnuts?) and savory in its way and it can be rewarding in quantities of one glass or less. Don't drink it on its own. This is especially nice matched with some stinky, funky cheeses.
