December 5, 2016 - Not at a good point of its evolution and not sure if it ever will be. Dry and closed, fruit missing for me, or too much in the background

March 5, 2014 - Paul D's Chandon de Briailles @ 28-50 (28-50, Fetter Lane, London): A little more ready, but still quite surly. Hard work without much reward. A touch lactic and muddy. Lacks brightness and purity. Maybe with time, but... **(*)

November 6, 2012 - Reduction and gas, not clear... Real issues, refermenting.

January 1, 2008 - Medium cherry colour, not much sign of age. Dense yet fresh red fruit on the nose, and a touch of iodine. Seems rather simple. Quite light and well-composed in the mouth. Crisp and fresh, light on its feet. Pleasing but not great. ***

    February 25, 2005 - Colour - Garnet brick
Aroma - Explosive - sweet violet, blackberry, underbrush, earth, mushrooms, milk chocolate and some feral
Palate - Persistent and attractive sweetness easily holding through to a long fine finish, soft tannins. Aged and possibly at its plateau, it has plenty of life and lift to keep it going for a few more years.
I wish I had more of this worthy GC.
