August 28, 2009 - Dark purple with a garnet ring in the glass. The nose gave off heat, spice, currant, and plum. Drinks very young. On the palate I got currant, plum, with sharp tannins on the back end. The finish was tart, dark fruit that was a little like cough syrup. Not bad for $5.79, but tasted cheap, and probably not something I would buy again, although I wouldn't have a problem drinking this if someone offered it to me at a party.
