February 24, 2016 - Nose: Perfumed Blackberry, Raspberry, floral elements and spice. A bit of barnyard adds earthy components. Atomized nose. Palate: Fine red fruit that was showing quite fresh. Gorgeous mineral notes in the mid-palate with cherry/berry fruits. Finish: detailed with minerals, sweet earth, dark berries and a mature grace.
Overall this was a much more nuanced wine than the 99 Champans served alongside. Suspicious that the Champans was not 100% tonight. -

December 23, 2010 - Hold a bit longer -- nose was outstanding - long, a bit of secondary, wide open - pronounced. The palate developed, then closed down after about 2 hours...with tannin and astringency taking over...Long finish. Overall, enjoyable.

September 18, 2004 - Tasting. Simple red fruit aromas with lots more earth. Fruit starting to fade on palate, giving this an oddly rustic character for d'Angerville. Drink up soon.
