December 10, 2016 - Cherry, raspberry, autumnal leaf, hints of oak; smooth, gradual, well-aged, well-structured, a little bit tart but still some fruits, balanced
Later: Sous bois, aged cherry, fine port, mature; lively, refined, full, energetic, not complex but lovely

September 1, 2015 - Popped and poured; This wine has a fairly fragrant nose, with very pleasant aromas of cherries, leather and damp earth; The palate is medium-bodied, with a nice core of dense red fruit complemented by some notes of tobacco and spice; Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with how this was drinking; This started to fade as the evening wore on, so I think these are ready to drink now and won't necessarily improve with further aging

June 17, 2013 - Weekly tasting group #076; 3x Geantet-Pansiot + 12 Bordeaux (@ VD): Compared to the 1996 this wine has more red fruits, some salty licorice and mint. On the palate red fruits, round and soft tannin and a good length. A very pleasurable wine, without being extremely complex. Ready now.

October 26, 2012 - Beautiful bouquet with some smoke and minerals. On the palate impressions of red fruits, earth, leather, tea and reductive flavors. The acidity is ok and the tannin still has some bite. Overall the wine gave the impression it was not completely fresh. No score.

October 29, 2010 - From magnum. Big funk on the nose at first but it kept constantly evolving & changing. I love that. Morphs into black licorice, than vanilla, then hints of petrol, then plum, then cherry, then back to vanilla. Light entry of dusty red cherry with a lot of acidic structure but a surprisingly soft finish. Very pretty & still youthful. Very nice for the nose alone.
